Abiodun meets security chiefs, outlines Ogun’s security priorities for 2026

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has held a strategic meeting with heads of security agencies in the state to review the security situation and set priorities for 2026.
The meeting, which took place on Sunday, focused on assessing current security conditions and strengthening measures to safeguard lives and property as the new year begins.
Governor Abiodun said the engagement provided an opportunity for security agencies to brief the government on emerging threats, operational challenges and ongoing efforts to maintain peace across the state.
According to him, discussions centred on improving intelligence gathering, enhancing cooperation among security agencies and ensuring faster responses to security incidents.
The governor stressed that maintaining peace and preventing crime remain central to his administration’s agenda, noting that proactive planning was necessary to stay ahead of potential security challenges.
Abiodun reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting security agencies with the resources and collaboration required to keep Ogun State safe and stable.
He added that a secure environment remains critical to sustaining economic activities, attracting investment and improving the overall wellbeing of residents.
