Travellers abducted in Osun, again

Two travellers were on Saturday evening abducted at Wasinmi area, along Ife-Ibadan expressway in Osun State.

The victims were reportedly heading towards Ikire Area before the incident.

Osun police command PPRO, SP Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident, said police have been deployed to the scene of the incident.

She also revealed that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, maintaining that police have intensified the search for the abducted victims.

This is following the release of seven abducted travellers in the state during the weekend.

Some gunmen had abducted some travellers along Ibokun\Osogbo road in which one of the victims was shot dead while two others sustained gunshot injuries.

The police at the weekend had announced the rescue of the seven abducted victims, stating that security operatives are still on the trail of the kidnappers.
