The Oyo State only female gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election, Mrs. Aduragbemi Animasawun-Euba, has resigned from the Young Progressive Party (YPP).

This was made known in a resignation letter which she addressed to the Chairman of the Party.

In her letter, dated 26th of April, 2023, she informed the party of her decision to resign while deeply appreciating the party for the opportunity granted unto her to not only be a member of the party, but to also emerge as the party flagbearer in the just concluded election.

The letter read below, “I, Aduragbemi Euba, wish to inform you of my resignation from the Young Progressive Party (YPP). It is not an easy decision to put down my papers to write this resignation letter.

“It has been a great honour to be a member and to have been afforded the opportunity to emerge as the gubernatorial candidate of YPP with the sole aim of contributing towards the building of Oyo State and our dear nation.

“Many thanks goes to the opportunities that you have afforded me during the time past. It has indeed been a great privilege to have amassed political experience under the umbrella of YPP.

“I also wish to use this medium to say that both the Excos and members of YPP have my respect and admiration for the support you all have shown me through this extraordinary time.

“May God continue to prosper YPP,” she concluded.
