Zamfara Gov-elect, Deputy, 24 elected lawmakers, receive certificates of return

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has presented Certificates of Return to the Zamfara State Governor-elect, his Deputy and the 24 elected members of the State House of Assembly.

The Certificates were presented to Dauda Lawal Dare and his Deputy, Mallam Mani Muni respectively, by the National Commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States, at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office in Gusau, the State capital.

News Men can authoritatively report that the Certificates of Return for the twenty-four elected members of the State House of Assembly were presented to them by the State Resident Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission, professor Saidu Babura Ahmad.

Reacting, after receiving the Certificate of Return, the Governor-elect, Dauda Lawal Dare assured that the efforts of Zamfara indigenes will not be in vain, describing them as the divisive gurus.

He promised to do his best to reposition Zamfara State, pointing out that for decades, residents have been reaping thorns in their apple farms.

Dare, however, advised them to use the opportunity of the Ramadan fasting period to pray for divine intervention so that the Almighty Allah will restore peace and stability to the state.

The Governor-elect was escorted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC office by all the PDP chieftains and teeming supporters in the state.
