Yuletide: Police assure Ondo residents of tight security

The Ondo State Police Command has assured residents of tight security and safety of lives and property before, during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.

DSP Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, gave the assurance in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Okitipupa.

Odunlami said that all arrangements had been made and police personnel deployed to ensure a hitch-free celebration for residents.

“We have perfected arrangement and deployed our men to all areas inside and all entry points of the state to ensure tight security before, during and after the Christmas and new year celebration.

“Let me assure residents in Ondo that they will enjoy a hitch-free celebration and security of lives and property.

“We enjoin residents to also be security conscious and report any strange people or activities to the police on time for immediate action,” she said.

Odunlami cautioned residents against any form of crime under any guise, saying that anyone caught would be made to face the law.
