The National President of Ijebu Youth Association, Comr. Okikiola Fayomi has commended the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi for his favourable disposition to supporting the youth to attain their desire in life.

Okikiola Fayomi who is currently aspiring to lead the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) gave this commendation while speaking on the recent scholarships Mr Tokunbo Talabi was said to have given to 100 students from Oru Ijebu in Ijebu North Local Government area of the state.

Speaking during the recent 12th anniversary of the group, Okikiola who described the SSG as a huge investor in youth development said that “we are all very much aware of how important education is to youth development, we are also not unaware of how some youths are finding it challenging to fund their education.

“It is against these realities that we are appreciating our dear SSG for not abandoning the youths in the time of their need. Examples abound of so many great people today who would have amounted to nothing if they have not gotten scholarships to pursue their educational pursuit.

“The SSG has also been doing a lot in terms of facilitating employment for the youths as well as many other laudable projects to drive the socio-economic development of Ijebu land. It is our deepest desire to see other privileged indigenes across the state to emulate Mr Talabi and be more concerned and committed towards fostering a better life for the youths”.

Okikiola who also lauded Gov Dapo Abiodun for his fantastic performance in office in the last three and half years disclosed that “having x-rayed the deliberate and committed efforts of Prince Dapo Abiodun to make life a lot easier and far rewarding for the residents of the state, we have that conviction that the governor has done so well and well enough to continue the good works beyond 2023”.
