You lack constitutional power to dictate to Oyetola – Osun APC tutors Adeleke

The Office of the Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has impressed it on Senator Ademola Adeleke to tread softly and separate himself from his latest state of delusion of grandeur over his pyrrhic victory in the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state.

According to a statement issued by the Media Adviser to the state APC chairman, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital yesterday, it is observed that Adeleke catches cold each time he hears the voice of the Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola for reasons which could not be far from his accumulated guilty conscience over the yet-to-be-concluded governorship election process.

It would be recalled that Oyetola restated his belief in reclaiming his governorship mandate through the court of law while addressing the multitude of youths who defied rain to state their unflinching commitment and loyalty to the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu through a rally in Osogbo on Thursday.

Hardly had the sitting Governor Oyetola finished his statement than Adeleke issued a press statement instructing financial institutions to stop dealing with the administration of Oyetola because he (Adeleke) was having the Osun governorship mandate for keep.

Adeleke also stated that Governor Oyetola was daydreaming with his belief that he reposed his confidence in the court of law to reclaim his mandate.

The statement reminded the restless and controversial governor-elect to dissipate his energy on how he would convince the tribunal that he is not carrying a mere window-dressing and worthless governorship mandate because of the barrage of loads hanging on his neck.

According to the statement: “Adeleke who is not comfortable in victory can only run but  cannot hide perpetually as what his opposition political party cooked that led to the burning down of an edifice has been exposed.

“With the humongous weight of the evidence against the pyrrhic governorship victory of Adeleke, he should be prepared to sweat profusely in an air-conditioned room when the election petition tribunal resumes its hearing.

“It will be appreciated if someone who is versed with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria could help tutorise the dancing senator that there is no role for a governor-elect under the nation’s ruling document.

“His ceaseless complaints and needless outcries against Oyetola’s administration amount to a mere noise-making as the constitution doesn’t allow the tail to wag the dog.

“It is the highest level of absurdity and a strange anomaly for a governor-elect to be directing the financial institutions to disregard lawful transactions from the sitting governor.

“It is only a governor-elect who is either suffering from the pungent lack of requisite wherewithal for an exotic office of a governor or an avid victim of power intoxication that could wake up from the wrong side of the bed to unfastidiously issue such an obnoxious, odious, nauseating and repugnant directive to a sitting governor.

“Finally, it is advisable that Adeleke arms himself with a copy of the nation’s Constitution for proper study and comprehension if per chance the opposite of God is deliberately interested in punishing the people of Osun State for a character like him to become the governor of the State of the  Virtuous”, the statement counselled.
