World Cup qualifiers: Three African countries into next phase
Three African nations have qualified for the next phase of the 2022 World Cup qualifying series in the African zone.
They are Morocco, Mali and Senegal.
Morocco are already guaranteed top spot in Group I with two matches left to play.
Last month, they defeated Guinea 4-1 in Rabat and will be one of the 10 group winners competing in the playoffs in March for five spots from the continent.
Senegal beat Namibia 3-1 and now have 12 points after four Group H fixtures.
On Thursday, Mali became the third country to clinch progression into the final playoff phase.
They guaranteed top spot in Group E thanks to a 3-0 away win over 10-man Rwanda in Kigali in an early evening kick-off.
Moussa Djenepo, Ibrahima Kone and Kalifa Coulibaly got the goals.
The last two rounds of the group phase of African qualifiers will be played between November 10-16.
