A 32-year-old woman, Tina Diwan, was on Tuesday docked in a Magistrates’ Court in Ota, Ogun for allegedly assaulting her neighbour.
The police charged Diwan, who resides in Obafemi Osuoba Estate with conspiracy and assault.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendant and others at large, committed the offence on March 10 at about 1.28 p.m. at the Obafemi Osuoba Estate in Ota.
He said that the defendant and her accomplices assaulted Mr Balogun Oshibowale and also tore his shirt.
He said that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 351 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate A.O. Adeyemi admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.
Adeyemi ordered that the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to Ogun Government.
She adjourned the case until April 4 for further hearing.
