Woman, 35 kills another, 25 with pestle in Jigawa

A lady, Hauwa Nura, 25 was allegedly killed with pestle by another woman known as Lami Adams Mustapha, 35 in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The elder brother of the deceased, Nuru Shu’aibu, 34 who gave the report claimed that his younger sister died of the injuries sustained from the pestle Lami used to hit her.

According to him, the detectives on receiving the report rushed to the scene and conveyed the victim to the Jahun General Hospital, where she was referred to Rashid Shekoni Teaching Hospital, Dutse.

The victim eventually gave up the ghost on the way to the teaching hospital, only to be confirmed dead on getting to the the hospital.

The suspect has since been arrested. Meanwhile, her relatives have claimed that she’s of unsound mind.

Following this claim, she was taken to Jahun General Hospital for medical examination and for further examination and comprehensive analysis, she’s been moved to Psychiatric Hospital, Kasaure.

The case is undergoing investigation by the police as the story is being confirmed by the spokes person of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adamu.
