The former member of the House of the Representatives who once represented Ife Federal Constituency, Honourable Rotimi Makinde, has boasted that the combination of Senator Iyiola Omisore,Omoworare Taju lawal, Ashalu,Omolade and Fatai kolawole, himself and other notable stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his constituency and Osun State in general, it is enough assurance for the hitch-free re-election of the focused and workaholic Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the next governorship election.
According to the former lawmaker, the dislodgement of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ife Federal Constituency is a done-deal as there will be no reason for the Ife people to be in opposition come next dispensation… enough is enough.
According to him, “Now that we also have in our domain the Deputy Chairman of the party, in the person of Hon. Taju lawal and those that matters in Ife politics, Ife people can not continue avoid to remain stagnant at the federal level or to be in opposition and expect more of federal government attention.”
Makinde who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Oodua Fm, Ile-Ife, states thus, “The community needs to think straight and avoid unnecessary mistake and misrepresentation at federal level whereby each lawmaker voted would have no voice to canvass or lobby for something meaningful as a result of his or her lone voice.”
He recalled that over the years, two or three previous representatives which included himself and the serving lawmaker had no privileges to work with the ruling party which limited their influences.
We need a representative who can have direct access to the state and the local government and not a solo or lone rangers…
Makinde who said, all is now set to partner with all the relevant people in order to change the tides to rejig and with the latest realignment of Senator Iyiola Omisore, Fani kayode,Chief Awotorebo,Hon Akinlaju and others, it’s going to be total dislodgement for the PDP in Ife Federal Constituency. Ife has no bussiness in pdp.
In the former lawmaker’s words, “The election of Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola is beyond career for governing Osun State is not a testing ground for any mediocre, tea party, or a dancing competitionl for any fresher. Makinde in his word, while reacting to the recent defection of Chief Femi Fanikayode said the homecoming of the very vocal politician coupled with Sen Iyiola Omisore already in the progressives fold is one of the best things that has ever happened to our community, party and the entire totality of our constituency in particular and the state in general.
“It is worthwhile to restate here that Senator Omisore is not a gate crasher in the progressive party as history is kind to him of his enviable role during the formation of the defunct Alliance for Democracy(AD) which has metamorphosed into the APC today. So also Chief FFK who appeared now to be very determined. I have always want the best for my community and ever ready to partner with all these illustrious sons and daughters of the source and with any other kinsmen and womwn who love this community dearly. This is the time for us to have total realignment in the overall interest of our Kingdom. Chief Fani Kayode is very familiar to me and I have always respect and honour for so many reasons. “He is highly welcomed.” He said.
“It is lack of unity of purpose among the reptiles that turned them into easy preys by the human beings. All we need is genuine unity.
“If the most dangerous among the reptiles should lead them in a street walk, I am yet to know of any person who can have the effrontry to constitute a stumbling block to their passage.
“It is for this reason among others that it suffices to submit that the subsisting new political arrangement in Ife federal constituency amounts to total uprooting of the opposition to its foundation in the ancient town.
On this note, I would like to see all leaders of this party to close ranks with serious intention to settle all issues.Deliberate efforts should be made to bring Hon Sikiru Aiyedun ,Biyi Odunlade, and Yinka Olatunbosun back to our midst. We are better as one united team.
“Half a word is enough for the wise,” Makinde hinted.
