Why we beat Kano Pillars – Rangers coach, Maikaba
Rangers head coach, Abdul Maikaba believes his vast knowledge of the Kano Pillars team played a key role in his side’s victory in their Federation Cup semi-final clash on Wednesday.
The People’s Elephant defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 in the Round 32 fixtures at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch Abuja.
Former Nigeria Premier Football League top scorer, Godwin Obaje scored both goals for the Flying Antelopes.
Maikaba admitted it was a difficult tie against a good side but happy to come out victorious.
“I know a little about Kano Pillars which we put to good use and got the required result,” he stated.
“It was a great game against a difficult side but we happy we got the job done.
“We take it game by game in the Federation Cup as we aim to become the champion at the end.”
