We’ve gone to court to challenge LG elections result — PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have already gone to court to challenge the results of the just concluded local governments election organized by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM), Engr. Mohammed Hannafi Aminu has said.

He made the statement to party supporters at a reception organized for PDP faithfuls from Kaduna South local government by Mr Lawal Adamu Usman aka ‘Mr LA’ last Monday evening.

Hannafi Aminu, who contested the last local government election under flag of PDP, for the office of Chairman said that results from the election organized KADSIECOM has proven otherwise that the PDP won the election.

Hannafi Aminu, also said that all aggrieved councillorship candidates had also instituted court action and they all expect to reclaim the mandate given to them by the people of Kaduna South.

He, however, cautioned that members of the party (PDP) will not condone the imposition of members who will not give the electorates the best in terms of dividends of democracy.

Speaking earlier, the organizer of the reception, Mr Lawal Adamu (Mr LA) who was a Senatorial candidate for the PDP in the previous election charged all members to be united on all front in order for the party to take over all elected positions in the state and federation.

He said that the party must be cautious and avoid any bring-down syndrome whose results will be counterproductive to the efforts of genuine members.

He promised to always have an open door policy to all members and would be members as he added that Kaduna State and Nigeria must be rescued from the clutches of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who had succeeded in bringing misery to the people.

Other stakeholders also charged party faithfuls to be patient and law abiding the party is aware of the situations in the state and country which they believe that the PDP can tackle.
