We’ve been canvassing door-to-door for Tinubu Nationwide — TSG
By Olaseinde Gbenga – Abuja
Hon. Aliu Asipita, the national coordinator of Tinubu door-to-door Ambassadors, says that the group has been canvassing door-to-door for Tinubu nationwide. This, he disclosed, in an exclusive interview with Nigerian NewsDirect on Sunday, at TSG Secretariat Maitama Abuja.
Recall that recently, the inauguration of states steering committee for Asiwaju was constituted on 23rd of October at the “Tinubu support group office, Maitama Abuja.”
According to Asipita, “We are a national campaign group seeking to show Nigerians why they should vote for ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU come 2023 general election.
“We have been at the forefront of reaching out to citizens throughout the federation, starting from wards, local government and with each state and region having its own coordinator.”
He said, “You can see in most of our media space, physical meetings have started, and the sole reason is to take the message across, sell Tinubu’s aspiration and to educate Nigerians why they should vote him come 2023 election, and by so doing to convince TINUBU to take the leadership mantle and declare his interest to lead us after the expiration tenure of president Muhammadu Buhari.
“Nigerians are seeking not for someone who has a leadership experience, but a leader who also have a business and economic experience. He have not only become indispensable to Nigeria’s politics, but has become the face of hope.
“The present state of the country is such that only people of exceptional ability, experience, courage, exposure, coupled with a deep knowledge of political terrain like Tinubu can bring nation out of present quagmire it is in.
“We need a leader who can think out of the box to bring about job and wealth creation. Nigerians demographic population is majorly youth, and we need employment for this generation. We need a competent leader who has the ability to change our poor private sector development.
“Hon Aliu said looking at the experience TINUBU has displayed over the recent years, both personal and political business exploits, he has the credentials, and that is why Tinubu’s door-to-door Ambassadors is at the forefront of selling him to Nigerians and as well encouraging him to take the bull by the horn come next 2023 presidential election.”
While speaking about Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and Gov. Yahya Bello of Kogi state warm-up for the presidential race, he said, “TINUBU is the best option for Nigerians at this time. He has invested so largely in himself. He has been through the political process of our country. He understands the nitty-gritty of our country. He has built political connection across the nation.
“He connects with the lower, middle and the higher ranks of the society. He connects horizontally with the diverse and ethnic groups of the society, he’s at home in North, West, South and East of Nigeria.
“When you look at Tinubu’s legacies from Lagos, it speaks lots about his achievements. A lot of us who will not suffer the historical amusement of Lagos know what Lagos use to be like, people talk about blueprint in Lagos. He’s a leader who brought the development approach to Lagos, and when you look at his personality and his political journey so far, you cannot distance him out. Yes, other aspirants might be vying for the presidential slot, but TINUBU towers above all.”
He pointed that the merger that formed the All Progressives Congress (APC) today was masterminded by Tinubu.
“He’s a strategist thinker, patriot and a Nationalist who saw ahead that there’s a need for Nigerians to move forward and experience a better change.
“Lagos generates 5million naira IGR monthly, he came on board to raise and move it to 8-10billion monthly. If I’m not being quoted wrongly, economically, this is the second best in West Africa and number five in Africa, this is a structure Nigerians can benefit, and this why we are gunning for him to contest.
“The issue of zoning has always been there in our political space, but I want you to understand that our political leaders have some certain wisdom that meditated us to have zoning within our political discourse.
“When you ask about the issue of zoning, you can see that Tinubu is moving relentlessly, and numerous conversations and engagement is going on a daily basis across the country. You can see that Asiwaju Tinubu is reaching out to stakeholders from the four cardinal region of our country,so that whatever All progressive congresss (APC) or critical stakeholders within our political space decision will keep us United and balance the geopolitical sentiment in Nigeria.
“The chairmaship slot will go to the North, obviously. One region cannot have everything and we belief that a common ground will be set to approach this issue,” he added.
