Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, has assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles are ready to face the Black Stars of Ghana when both teams meet in a 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff on Friday in Kumasi.
Osimhen said that the Super Eagles would do everything possible to beat Ghana and qualify Nigeria for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
The Napoli striker spoke to reporters after Super Eagles’ first training session in Abuja on Tuesday.
Osimhen said: “We are ready for this encounter. The players called up are ready to give their all, but the game would not be easy of course, no team is easy in Africa.
“We have been surprised by the Central African Republic and of course, we are ready for this game.
“We want to go there and get the win if possible and we know for sure that we will do everything possible to get the win and qualify for Qatar.”
Meanwhile, after Friday’s match, Nigeria will host Ghana in the return leg in Abuja four days later.
