We honour Virgin Mary due to her special position in Kingdom of God— Prophet Adesina
The founder of Blessed Virgin comprehensive church, Prophet Adebayo Adesina, has expressed that the church honours Virgin Mary due to her special position in the kingdom of God, stressing that this Wednesday’s Holy Mary celebration has a peculiar spiritual significance.
In his words, “It is important to note that we do not worship Blessed Virgin Mary but we honour her due to the special position she occupies in the kingdom of God.”
According to him, the church this Wednesday is expected to celebrate the Holy Mother of God as a feast day under the aspect of the motherhood of Jesus Christ, whom we see as our Lord and saviour.
He noted that the feast is very imperative, stating that the Church devotion to Blessed Virgin Mary is to appreciate the grace of God upon her life and to recognise her role in the economy of salvation.
He explained further that, “The reverence given to the Mother of God by BVMC is in light of reflection and revelation on the mystery of Christ and we cannot ignore the virgin Mary who is both the mother of Christ and mother of the church.
“We are convinced that if it pleased God to give salvation through her, it would please Him to receive us and our prayers through Her.
“Blessed Virgin Mary Comprehensive Church celebrates Holy Mary on Wednesday, 17th July, 2019. Wednesday has peculiar spiritual significance. In addition to being a mercy day, it is specifically set aside as Holy day for the Feast. On this day, members are advised to fast and remain chaste in order to have full effect of the power that will descend on that day.
“Our Lord, Jesus Christ introduced the Blessed Virgin Mary to me.”
Revealing the account of the revelation, he said, “I was in my room and I saw Jesus Christ came through the window in His full glory and power accompanied by His mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
“His appearance looks like a crystal, in the form of mighty mirror of light that contains on Jesus and the mother, as fragrance emanates from flowers. The scenario was beyond human comprehension.
“I could see that the angels that came with them were not eligible to enter into same glory that contained Jesus Christ and His mother, Holy Mary despite the fact that they came together. I could see vividly that the angels were trembling as though something that was about to break into pieces.
“This was due to the presence of Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory and His glorious mother. They started church service and I noticed that Jesus Christ and Holy Mary stood at the altar while I stood as a member of the church.
“The Lord Jesus Christ was in charge of the Service. The service started in earnest and all that happened within the period was controlled by Holy Mary through the directive of the Lord Jesus.
“Whilst Jesus Christ stood there without uttering any word, He always beckons to Holy Mary to carry on. He did the when it was time to sing and I was furious. I felt highly disappointed with the way Jesus Christ was going about the service; I said to myself whether this man knew what he was doing by allowing a woman to stand at the altar conduct service.
“For that reason, I decided to obstruct the Service, by singing a hymn different from the on introduced by Holy Mary. Jesus Christ looked at me and beckoned to Holy Mary to allow me sing and we all sang the song that I introduced and I felt happy for it.
“When the Lord Jesus beckoned again to Holy Mary to say grace to end the service, I was enraged again. Anyway, the service ended and they went back to Heaven. That incident signified the fact that Holy Mary and Jesus Christ are inseparable. Wherever one finds Jesus Christ, Blessed Virgin Mary will be there too.”
