Ward Congress: Bauchi APC adopt consensus in 212 wards

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi state has adopted consensus candidates during its congress in the 212 ward in the state.

Mr Sam Dunga , the Chairman committee on ward Congress in the state, disclosed this while addressing stakeholders on Saturday in Bauchi.

He said the stakeholders of the party have unanimously agreed to adopt the consensus rather than voting system.

According to him, the party allowed two systems of election, either by consensus or voting system, and the party opted for consensus.

Dunga commended party members for being loyal and conducting themselves peacefully during the Congress.

Alhaji Uba Nana, the caretaker committee Chairman, also commended the stakeholders for coming together to agree on a common goal of moving the party forward.

He said the stakeholders, made up of serving and former national and state assembly members, former Chairmen, Chieftains, political office holders, among others, have resolved to adopt a consensus Congress.

Nana urged party members who are not happy with the idea of consensus to sheath their swords and contribute to the growth of the party in the state.
