A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Ekiti State, Hon. Bunmi Adeyanju has appealed to residents of the state who have registered for voter’s cards online to visit INEC offices in their respective councils for physical capturing.
The Agbado Ekiti-born PDP Chieftain made the call while speaking with Nigerian NewsDirect shortly after addressing some youths in Gbonyin local government areas of the state.
Hon. Adeyanju explained that those who want to change their polling boots can also visit INEC offices to do so.
He specifically urged those that just attained eighteen years to ensure that they get their voter’s cards in order to participate in the June 18 Governorship election and general election in Ekiti State.
His words: “I want to tell you that we can’t fold our arms and allow things to continue to go the wrong way, we need to obtain our voter’s cards to vote for leaders of good character during the election.”
Hon Adeyanju known as Ayanfe Gbonyin noted that voter’s card was the only way to bring in credible leaders that would change the fortune of the country, improve economy and check insecurity affecting the nation.
He called on officials of INEC to be fair with everybody during the exercise irrespective of their political differences.
Hon. Adeyanju called on PDP leaders across the state to mobilise people for the exercise, saying residents of the state are ready to vote for the party during the forthcoming Governorship election.
