VC urges youth to embrace technology for global success

Vice-Chancellor of Bells University of Technology, Ota, professor Jeremiah Ojediran has called on Nigerian youths to leverage technology and innovation to compete on the global stage.

Speaking at the Valedictory Service for Adedokun International Schools’ SS3 graduates, Ojediran emphasized the necessity of technological adaptability for future success.

In a compelling address during the Valedictory Service for outgoing SS3 students of Adedokun International Schools, Sango-Ota, Professor Jeremiah Ojediran urged the new graduates to harness the power of technology for global competitiveness.

The event, held on August 19, 2024, marked the graduation of 77 students from the school’s 2023/2024 academic session.

Ojediran, who was the guest speaker at the ceremony, emphasized that the modern era demands a strong embrace of technology.

 ”At this age of technology, they should leverage it in everything they do to achieve their dreams,” he stated.

He highlighted that staying relevant and competitive necessitates a proactive approach to technology and innovation.

The Vice-Chancellor stressed the importance of continuous personal and professional growth.

“There is no room for stagnation in today’s dynamic world. I implore you to stay focused, dedicated, and disciplined, as these are the key attributes needed to succeed at this stage,” Ojediran added. He encouraged the graduates to work diligently and aspire to become responsible future leaders.

Ojediran also praised the parents for their investment in their children’s education, noting that their efforts have contributed significantly to the students’ achievements.

Principal of Adedokun International Schools, Dr. Mike Fatukasi, congratulated the graduates and urged them to make a positive impact in the world through their education. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” Fatukasi said.

He encouraged the students to use their wisdom, creativity, and compassion to effect meaningful change.
