Use your status to attract investors — Abiodun tasks monarch

The new Ayanperuwa of Sotubo in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Muyideen Soile has been charged to use his royal status to attract investors from within and outside the borders of his town, for the swift growth and development of the community.

The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun gave the charge at the official Installation and Presentation of the staff of office to the new monarch, noting that the action, when vigorously pursued, would bring expansion to the community and boost the economy of the State.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, the Governor urged the monarch to bring together all sons and daughters of the community, and encourage them to perform their civic responsibilities, which he said were crucial in the execution of various government policies.

Governor Abiodun assured his administration’s commitment to improving the socio-economic well-being of the citizenry, saying, “our administration is irrevocably committed to the development of Ogun State in the aspects of Infrastructure, Social welfare and Well-being, Education, Youth Development, and Agriculture as depicted in our ‘ISEYA’ mantra.”

He commended the people of Sotubo for the existing peace and orderliness since the demise of their erstwhile monarch, enjoining them to support the new monarch to move their community to a greater height.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate, urged Oba Soile to be impartial in dealing with his subjects, irrespective of their backgrounds and affiliation, for speedy development of their country home and partner with the people in any programme intended for the development of the area.

Remarking, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland and Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, Oba Babatunde Ajayi advised the monarch to establish a cordial relationship with all members of his community, especially those who contested the stool with him, to enjoy a peaceful reign.

Oba Ogunsola Soile, in his acceptance speech, thanked the Governor for his appointment, assuring that he would reciprocate the gesture by ensuring that all the sons and daughters of Sotubo support the government in its drive to make the State occupy an enviable position among its peers.
