Updcreit, MRS Oil, 19 others lift capitalisation to N192bn

Trading activities on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), closed on a bullish sentiments as UPDC Real Estate Investment, MRS oil and 19 others maintained growth momentum to halt a day negative performance.
Absolutely, as a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 2.83 per cent, while market capitalisation value inched weight to N192 billion to close at N28.701 trillion from N28.512 trillion it closed for previous trading day.
The NGX All-Share Index rose by 352.49 basis points or 0.67 per cent to close at 52,701.31 Index points from 52,348.82 Index points it closed trade on Monday.
The upturn performance was driven by price appreciation in medium and large capitalised stocks amongst are Updcreit, MRS oil, Chellaram and others.
As measured by market breadth, the market sentiments as measured by market breadth closed positive as Updc Real Estate Investment led 21 stocks on the gainers table, while UPDC led 15 stocks on the laggards log.
STERLING BANK led the volume chart with 76.74 million units traded while GEREGU POWER led the value chart in deals worth N1.43 billion.
The trade volume increased a bit by 2.9 per cent to 228,487,278 million shares worth N4.443 billion were exchanged in 3,681 deals.
On the performance table, UPDC Real Estate Investment emerged as the highest price gainer with 10.00 per cent increased to close at N3.30 per share, followed by MRS Oil which appreciated by 9.93 per cent to close at N15.50 per share, while Chellaram which recorded as the last third gainer went up 9.92 per cent to close at N1.33 per share.
Sunu Assurance rose significantly by 8.82 per cent to close at N0.37 per share and Mcnichols which recorded as the last fifth gainer grew by 7.02 per cent to close at N0.61 per share.
On the decliners table, UPDC came as the highest price loser with 6.93 per cent decline to close at N0.94 per share, Geregu Power which followed dropped by 6.71 per cent to close at N139.00 per share, while Linkages Assurance which recorded as the last third loser dipped by 6.38 per cent to close at N0.44 per share.
Royalex Exchange which recorded as the last fourth loser went down by 5.26 per cent to close at N0.90 per share and PZ Cussion which recorded as the last fifth loser went down by 5.21 per cent to close at N10.00 per share.
Transaction in the shares of Sterling Bank topped the activities chart with 76.738 million shares worth N118.908 million, Chams Plc which followed transacted 17.567 million shares valued at M5.179 million, while Guaranty Trust Holding Company traded 16.754 million shares valued at N401.981 million.
Zenith Bank traded 11.322 million shares worth N276.033 million, while Royalex Exchange sold 10.650 million shares valued at N9.340 million.
