Unknown gunmen kill, rob residents in Abeokuta

Some unknown gunmen have invaded Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, killing one and dispossessing neighbours of their mobile phones.

News was gathered that the hoodlums, at about 1:30 AM on Sunday, stormed a house at 4, Tinubu Street, Oke-Sokori, in the heart of Abeokuta, forcing themselves into the face-to-face apartment.

“The gunmen, numbering four, entered all the rooms in the house, dispossessed neighbours of their phones until they finally entered Olayiwola Adebari’s room and shot him dead. I think they are cultists,” a reliable source told our correspondent anonymously.

It was learnt that the assailants cut off the 27-year-old Adebari’s left hand and took it away, an act many described as common among cultists
