Unknown gunmen kidnap three, demand N45 million ransom

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have kidnapped a mother and her two children in Ogun State.

The gunmen have placed a N45 million ransom on the abducted victims before they would be released.

Our correspondent gathered that the mother, one Mrs Sola-Adeniyi, was kidnapped alongside her children on Wednesday night.

The incident happened in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.

According to the account of a close relative, the three victims were abducted in their house located on the outskirt of Abeokuta.

“The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N45 million from the family. They have contacted the husband and they said he must pay that money before his wife and children would be released.”

It was further gathered that the incident has been reported to the police in the state and security agencies are on a manhunt for the kidnappers and for to eventually rescue the victims.

The spokesperson of the police command could not be reached to confirm the development as the number was not reachable.
