UNILORIN earns full accreditation for 36 courses
The University of Ilorin has been granted full accreditation for 36 out of the 37 courses it presented for evaluation by the National Universities Commission (NUC), according to the institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun.
Akogun confirmed the accreditation result, which followed an assessment carried out in October and November 2024.
The full accreditation status was granted for courses in faculties including Management Sciences, Finance, Medical Sciences, and Communication.
The remaining course, Hausa, was granted interim accreditation.
“The accreditation exercise, as reflected in a letter dated April 30, 2025, addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, confirmed full accreditation for most of our programmes,” Akogun said.
In response to the news, Vice Chancellor Prof. Wahab Egbewole expressed immense satisfaction, noting that the achievement recognised the university’s ongoing investment in human and material resources.
He assured that the institution would continue to strive for excellence.
