United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), in line with its commitment to fostering financial inclusion and rewarding loyalty, has awarded over N17 million to 30 customers in its latest savings promo draw, marking a significant milestone in the bank’s 75-year history.
The August draw, which took place in Lagos, was conducted under the supervision of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, ensuring transparency.
UBA rewarded customers across three tiers, with 10 top-tier customers receiving N1m each. Beneficiaries included Joshua Izenobor, Chigozie Abel, and Cornelius Nwankwo.
In addition to these top-tier winners, another 10 customers were rewarded with N500,000 each, and a final group of 10 walked away with N250,000. The winners spanned across the nation, representing a diverse customer base.
UBA’s Group Head of Retail & Digital Banking, Shamsideen Fashola, highlighted the significance of the ongoing promotion as part of UBA’s broader strategy to encourage savings and financial responsibility.
“This is just the beginning of our legacy promo draw. We plan to reward 75 winners in each category, with 195 more customers to be selected in the coming months.
“Our draws are transparent, and the next millionaire could be you,” Fashola noted, adding that the bank’s ultimate goal is to improve the savings culture among Nigerians.
Moreover, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, emphasised the bank’s dedication to social impact.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to giving back to society and ensuring our customers feel valued,” Ladipo remarked.
