U-20 World Cup: Italy tough opponent, but beatable – Eletu
Flying Eagles midfielder, Victor Eletu has said the Young Azzurri of Italy will be a tough nut to crack for his team in their second group game at the ongoing 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The AC Milan youngster, however, posited that the Flying Eagles have enough quality to beat the Europeans.
Eletu, however, warned that the Flying Eagles must play as a team to emerge victorious.
“It will be a tough game (vs Italy) as three, four of their players have already played for their first-team clubs,” Eletu told NFF TV.
“The only way we can beat them is to play as a team.
“We will give our best to qualify for the next round.”
Italy top Group D with three points having defeated Brazil 3-2 in their opening fixture.
The Flying Eagles occupy second position with the same points but have an inferior goal difference.
