Two men have been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police command for allegedly breaking into a shop to steal a generator, gas cylinder and bluetooth speaker, in the Iju-Ishaga area of the state.
This was made known by the command’s public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday.
The command’s spokesperson, said the patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division, on a stop and search operation, intercepted the men as they were transporting the stolen items with a mini bus, otherwise known as Korope
The statement said, “STOP-AND-SEARCH: At about 6:30am, patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division intercepted 24-year-old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45-year-old Taiwo Adisa in a mini bus popularly known as Korope, with one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker.
“Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in the Iju-Ishaga area and stole the items,” he stated.
He noted that the shop owner has been contacted for return of the stolen items, adding that the suspects will be prosecuted.
