Two men docked over alleged theft of goods valued N2.4m 

One Michael Akodo, 25, and Aninge Terlumin, 32, on Tuesday, appeared before an Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, charged with stealing N2.4million worth of goods.

The two men, who were arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and breaking-in, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Prosecutor, ASP A. Paul, told the court that the defendants and others at large, had committed the offences on April 6, at 2:30a.m., at C. Ume Park, Iddo Railway Terminus.

He said that the defendants broke into a warehouse and stole goods valued at N2.4 million belonging to Mr Eze Okwudili.

The offences, the prosecutor said, contravened Sections 516, 390 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Ruling on the defendants bail application, the Chief Magistrate, Mrs O.M. Ajayi admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

Ajayi adjourned the matter till May 18, for mention.
