Two dead as cult gangs invade Rivers community

Two persons have been reported dead while some residents of Elibrada community in Emohua Local Government Area are said to have fled their homes as result clash between the Degbam and Iceland cult gangs in the area.

It was gathered the members of the Degbam Cult group allegedly invaded the community in the early hours of today, Thursday, April 27, in search of the leader of Iceland cult group, Wodi Onuigwe, popularly called Wodi.

Wodi is believed to be the leader of the gang that have been terrorising Emohua local area section of the East-West road in recent times.

However, eyewitnesses said members of the Emohua Vigilante Services (EMOVIS), have managed to restore relative peace in the area, though the residents are still living in fear.

Recall that the Chairman of Council Area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd had been complaining of the criminal activities in most of the communities under the council are perpetrated by illegal oil bunkering thieves who form themselves into different cult gangs to exercise control over their area of operations.
