Transfer: Pochettino takes decision on Andrey Santos as ex-Man Utd defender, Blind joins new club

Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino has decided that he wants to see the club’s January signing Andrey Santos in pre-season later this month.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are not negotiating with any club for Santos, 19, to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Recall that Chelsea signed Santos from Brazilian side Vasco de Gama for £16million in January but immediately loaned him to the club.

“Chelsea are currently NOT negotiating with any club for Andrey Santos,” Romano tweeted on Friday night.

“Despite lot of interest from many clubs in Europe, there are no concrete talks or advanced negotiations at this stage. Pochettino wants to see him in pre-season. Directors believe he’s the future.”

Meanwhile, in another development, a former Manchester United defender, Daley Blind, has joined Girona after leaving Bayern Munich.

Blind, 33, joined the Spanish side on a two-year deal as a free agent on Friday.

He joins the fifth club of his career after stints at FC Groningen, Manchester United, Ajax and Bayern Munich.
