Transfer: Boehly to meet Shakhtar Donetsk chief after Arsenal bid for Mudryk rejected

Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, is set to meet with Shakhtar Donetsk transfer chief Darijo Srna on Thursday evening over the possibility of signing Arsenal target, Mykhaylo Mudryk.

This is coming after Arsenal saw a second bid for Mudryk turned down by Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.

The Premier League leaders were thought to be confident that their offer, believed to be worth £62 million, would be accepted after Muryk made clear his desire to leave Shakhtar Donetsk.

But according to The Daily Mail, Shakhtar Donetsk has opted to reject Arsenal’s latest bid for the Ukrainian winger, who turns 22 tomorrow.

That could hand the advantage to Chelsea in negotiations, with Boehly set for talks with Srna tomorrow.
