Transfer: Barcelona midfielder set to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr have shifted their attention to Barcelona star Franck Kessie.
This was after they failed to reach an agreement with Inter for Croatian midfielder, Marcelo Brozovic.
Football Italia reports that the situation surrounding Brozovic’s potential move to the Middle East has been marked by volatility and unpredictability, forcing the club to look for more options.
Inter and Al-Nassr initially agreed on a €23 million fee for the midfielder but the player who never wanted the move at first, eventually gave in and accepted a lucrative three-year contract worth €100 million in total.
However, the situation took another turn on the morning of June 30 as several sports sites reported that the Pro League side suddenly reduced their offer to their Italian counterparts, offering only €13 million plus €2 million in bonuses instead of the initially agreed-upon fee.
The Saudi outfit has now set their sights on Barcelona’s Ivorian midfielder Kessie, who is one of the players wanted out of Camp Nou this summer.
So far, Barcelona has been unsuccessful in its attempts to sell Kessie.
