Trading on NGX closes on positive trend

Trading on Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), which opened the week on negative note closed yesterday marginally on positive note, as all shares index appreciated by 554.15 basis point

Meanwhile, market capitalisation value gained further by N299 billion to close trade at N28.721 trillion from N28.422 trillion it closed trade on for previous trading day.

However, All shares index appreciated by 554.15 basis points representing 1.05 per cent to close trade at N53,275.49 index points from N52,721.34 index points it closed trade for previous day.

On the advancers table, Transcohot emerged yesterday as the highest price gainer which grew by 9.89 per cent or 0.53 kobo increased to close trade at N5.89 per share, Betaglas rose by 5.55 kobo representing 9.74 per cent increased to close trade at N62.55 per share.

Mcnichols was recorded as the last third gainer appreciated by 9.60 per cent or 0.17 kobo increased to close trade at N1.94 per share, VERITASKAP and MULTIVERSE went up by 0.02 kobo increased to close trade at N0.23 and N0.24 per share respectively.

On the other hand, Conoil oil emerged yesterday as the highest decliner which dipped by 3.15 kobo representing 10 per cent to close trade at N28.35 per share, Eternal plc followed with drop of 9.59 per cent to close trade at N6.60 per share, as Prestige which recorded as the last third loser depreciated by 0.04 kobo representing 9.09 per cent to close trade at N0.40 per share.

Chams plc was recorded as the last fourth loser down by 8.33 per cent or 0.02 kobo to close trade at N0.22 per share and Royalex exchange which recorded as the last fifth loser dipped 7.35 per cent or 0.10 kobo to close trade at N1.26 per share.

Transcorp plc, MTNN, Conoil, GTCO, FBNH , were traded actively on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), in 5,184 deals investors exchanged 274,556,626 million shares valued at N8.446 billion.

Transaction in the shares of Transcorp plc, topped the volume chart which traded 48.381 million shares valued at 61.433 million, Followed by MTNN which transacted 20.601 million shares valued at 5.494 billion.

Conoil Oil plc, traded 14.343 million shares valued at N409.104 million while GTCO transacted 13.729 million shares worth 328.084 million and FBNH traded N13.536 million shares worth N162.456 million.

Transcorp plc topped in terms of volume, while MTNN topped in terms of value
