The Former Vice-President, Customary Court, Enuwa, Ile-Ife, Sooko Bunmi Adegoke, has said that the newly elected President of Nigeria in the just concluded elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would surely perform excellently well to comfort the people of the nation.
Adegoke made the disclosure in an interview with Newsmen in Ile-Ife on Thursday
He congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for emerging as the president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Adegoke commended the voters for maintaining peace and orderliness before, during and after the elections.
He said that the citizenry has totally advanced to the extent of giving peace a chance, saying that gone are the days, that by now destruction of lives and properties would have begun.
The former Customary Vice-President urged all aggrieved politicians that feel cheated in the last elections to go and file their cases at the court of law for justice.
Adegoke charged the president-elect not to forget all states and people that worked for him during development, adding that Nigerians are expecting more from him, for “whom much is given, much is expected from him”.
According to him, he should be the president of all and sundry and put sentiments apart.
Also, the former council boss, Barr. Oladosu Olabisi of Ife Central West Local Government Development Authority, thanked God for given victory to All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, when their presidential candidate was announced as the winner of 2023 presidential election.
He attributed their success in that elections to God Almighty and the good people of Nigeria, saying that it was so tough that there was no cash in circulation coupled with scarcity of fuel.
According to him, the electorates were commited to cast their votes for Tinubu, despite all challenges, he maintained that divided we fall and united we stand.
“We thank God for the victory, we believe he would perform well, for he has done it before, when he was the Lagos State governor, I opine he’ll do more.
“He’s a man of his word, whatever he says, he will surely fulfil, so there’s no cause for alarm”, he ascertained.
The former local government boss admonished Nigerians to exercise patience with him for at least six months to do the needful, for everything to normalise.
