President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays. He was received at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Wednesday by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy Obafemi Hamzat, and other top government officials.

Earlier in the day, Tinubu presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja. In his budget speech, Tinubu expressed optimism that Nigerians would soon experience an improved economy, citing positive global economic growth indicators and rising foreign reserves. He remarked, “The global economic growth for the outgoing year 2024 was projected at 3.2%, and against predictions, our country made significant progress. Our economy grew by 3.46% in the third quarter of 2024, up from 2.54% in the third quarter of 2023.”
