Tinubu congratulates NEPZA CEO Ogunyemi on election to WFZO board
President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. OlufemiOgunyemi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA), following his election to the Board of the World Free Zone Organisation (WFZO).
In a statement on Thursday by BayoOnanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy, Tinubu remarked that Ogunyemi’s election emphasised the ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy for a brighter future.
He praised Ogunyemi for his proactive initiatives that have enhanced NEPZA’s global competitiveness and opened up additional export platforms, thereby creating more investment opportunities.
The President highlighted that Ogunyemi’s election is a validation of the Renewed Hope Agenda reforms, which prioritise sustainable growth through the attraction of foreign direct investment into the real sector.
Furthermore, President Tinubu encouraged Ogunyemi to leverage this opportunity to enhance Nigeria’s image on the global stage, promote the Renewed Hope Agenda, and integrate the Nigerian economy into the lucrative global economic ecosystem.
