Students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife in Osun State have vowed to resist any attempt by the Osun State Police Command to cover up murder case of Mr. Timothy Adegoke.

It was recalled that Adegoke, who was until his death, a student of executive Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at OAU was allegedly killed at Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife.

Our correspondent gathered that about six people including the owner of the hotel, Dr. Rahman Adedoyin, have been arrested by the police.

Class Governor of Executive MBA in the institution, Mr. Abdulmojeed Akolade, who spoke with Newsmen on Tuesday, said that it has been realized that some grey areas were yet to be made clear and some important questions were yet to be answered by the police.

Akolade, who spoke on behalf of other students of Executive MBA, explained that any attempt by the police to cover up and hide information from the public shall meet the wrath of the students across board.

“We want to make it clear that any attempt by the police to cover up and hide information from the public shall meet the wrath of Nigerian Students across board. We will mobilize ourselves and demand for what Timothy deserves.

“To set the record straight, Adegoke Timothy was one of our best colleagues with excellent conceptual and analytical mind.

“He was a cool, calm, gentle and generous man who made helping his colleagues a habit and hobby. As a result of this, Timothy succeeded in touching a lot of lives by his inspiring nature.

“On this basis, we, students of executive MBA at Obafemi Awolowo University hereby demand justice for the death of our brother, colleague and friend who was gruesomely murdered at Hilton Hotel and resort, Ile-Ife by the management of the hotel.

“From our observations, we also realized that some grey areas are yet to be made clear by the Nigeria police and some important questions are yet to be answered by the police.

“We are also aware that the family and friends of Timothy have been severally threatened with assassination attempts amidst other form of intimidations, we want to equally inform the evil planners that we are powerfully watching.

“While we follow up the case, we wish to commiserate with the family and friends of Timothy Adegoke, May almighty God fill up the lacuna he left,” he said.
