Thugs attack police officer in Kano

Kano State Police Command, on Friday, confirmed the attack of an officer during a clash between policemen and thugs.

Spokesman of the command, SP. Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the incident in a statement issued to newsmen.

Kiyawa also debunked the report that the officers were hacked to death during a clash with thugs at the Rimi market area.

According to him, “the personnel of the command were called to stop unrest in the area; in the process, one of the officers was attacked and sustained injuries.”

He said the injured officer was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and was treated and discharged.
