Thugs’ assault woman, children

A woman and her four children aged 19, 17, 16 and 15 years were allegedly assaulted on Thursday, 18th May, 2023 by hoodlums around 11 pm on their way home at Ojoo area, Ibadan.

According to the victim, Mrs. Olaojo Oluwabunmi Olayinka, she narrated that the assailants who were five masked men, claimed they were sent by an alleged aggrieved father Sangolade Adisa, saying that the act of homosexuality that his husband engaged with his son Basiru Adisa is a taboo and major cause of his death (whose child was allegedly killed by the victim) to wipe out the whole family.

“When the attackers could not find the husband, Mr. Olaojo Sarafadeen, they ransacked the whole apartment looking for him and finally descended on the mother and her children named Olaojo Fuhad (19), Olaojo Fahidat (17), Olaojo Al-Ameen (16) and Olaojo Muhas (15). They were beaten black and blue by the killers who eventually left after threatening to come back for their father and eliminate the whole family together,” she narrated.

However, neighbours said that contrary to the story by the wife, the husband, Mr. Olaojo has always been an easygoing fellow who cannot possibly hurt a fly.

They also added that the family is nowhere to be found due to the incessant attacks and threats they face.

Investigations on their whereabouts by the police are ongoing.
