Threat to life: Lagos prince on the run

A popular businessman and a Prince of Agege in Lagos, Southwest,  Nigerian, Prince Adebowale Solomon Adebari has abandoned his home following a threat to his life by thugs believed to be loyal to a Political Party in Nigeria.

Investigation revealed that Adebari who lived in an apartment  on old Ipaja road Agege, Lagos State was wooed by a  political party (name withheld)  because of his popularity among the youths but turned down the offers because of his non partisan stand.

His  refusal  to join, according  to a source, did  not go down well with the leadership of the political party who later sent  some people  believed to be thugs to threaten him on phone even while he was aboard on holiday.

Nigerian NewsDirect learned that on the 20th of October 2021 when the businessman/Prince was away about four hefty guys broke into his apartment where he was living with his wife, Deaconess Adebari Oluwatosin, his Mother Madam Esther Jumoke Adebari, and his three children namely, Master Adebari Anuoluwapo Ademide, master Adebari ifeoluwa Ademiposi, and Miss Adebari Ireoluwape Adeola.

They eventually injured the mother who later died in a private hospital as a result of shock and sent a death threat to him stating that he either joins them or be eliminated with his remaining family.

He left Lagos to Ogun State for safety of his life and his family to Abeokuta on Plot 8 block 8, Asero Estate. Abeokuta Ogun  State. Unknown to him, they traced him down to his new abode with the intention of kidnapping his three children as a bargain for his acceptance but the attempt failed due to the estate security guards.

Presently, Adebari is taking abode in an undisclosed destination for danger to his family while his businesses and homes have been abandoned for safety.

The incident was later reported at  Police headquarters, Obantoko, Abeokuta Ogun State with an affidavit sworn in on the 25th of November 2022 at the High Court, Isabo, Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria for further investigation.

Prince Adebowale Adebari, 48, is also a youth leader and a member of Agege descendants Union, the Association which was instrumental to the first Agege youth day.
