THIS IS MY STORY

This is not a hearsay. It is my story. And this story started the day I met a monster in human clothing.

During my numerous job hunt, I met this man who introduced himself as an aide to the State Governor and he told me he could help me with a job since I was from Lagos State. With that, we exchanged our phone numbers, discussed the happenings in the state and went on our ways.

A month later, I received a call from him informing me that his boss would like to see me. I told him I couldn’t make it because I wasn’t around. The instant I returned, I informed him and he was glad. He called in two days after to ask if I could meet his boss. Since I had nothing to do, I agreed.

On the said day, I woke early and prepared. After waiting for long with no response from him, I was on the verge of giving up when his message came in. There, he apologised and told me that he and his boss went to a function in Abuja and that he would give me a call when they are back.

On the 8th of July at 7:05 p.m, he sent a message that the boss would like to see me and that I should get dressed before 9 p.m. Immediately, I told him it wasn’t possible because of the time. Then I began to wonder why the man wanted to see me at that late hour of the day to discuss work.

He went on about how his boss will get angry at him if I refused to show up that night. Then I thought about the reason his boss will get angry at him for my refusal to show up since I was the one in need of a job. I didn’t expect him to get angry for not seeing me. However, I let that slip off. I told myself that it was nothing to worry about.

He sent me an SMS a few days later asking if I could see his boss by 9 a.m because he will be travelling that same day. I honoured his invitation and got to the hotel as planned. After exchanging pleasantries, he led the way to where his boss was seated with the other board.

By the time we got there, it was a well-furnished room with no single soul in it. Oh! maybe I thought so. I asked him about his boss and he replied that he would join us soon. So we went into another discussion. He started by asking if I was willing to offer myself if his boss asked for sex.

I instantly told him I would do no such thing.

After seeing my reaction, he told me to relax and that we were only there to discuss how the interview process will go.

At a point when our discussion was becoming more interesting, he asked me to stand up and I did. Before I knew what was happening, he pushed me against the wall and moved towards me. Then I saw him removing his clothes. I told him I would give him anything he wanted apart from sex. Then he asked for three million naira and picked up a glass cup from the tray and threatened to kill me if I refused to cooperate with him.

After my incessant plea, he said he would call his boys to take turns on me, record the act and share with the world. He also revealed how he had made different videos of his victims.

Later, he took a condom, walked towards me and tried to pull my clothes. As I struggled with him, he hit me hard and held my neck, trying to strangle me. I guess he left me when he saw that I was gasping for air and almost passed out. By the time I was fully aware, he was on top of me, panting and riding me like a horse. I struggled beneath him with the little strength I had left, crying and begging him to stop.

All he did was threaten me the more, saying that he would kill me and feed my carcass to the dogs. When he was through, he dragged me to the bathroom, poured water on me. When he noticed that I was gasping for air, he performed Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (mouth-to- mouth) on me. I couldn’t utter a word because I was in severe pain, and I was shivering.

Afterwards, he asked me to get dressed. I managed to dress up, and he held me out and put me in a cab. Inside the cab, I told the cab man to drive me to the nearest police station. After reporting my ordeal and providing all our conversations as evidence, two officers accompanied me back to the hotel but we couldn’t find the trace of this monster. Later on, I got reports that I wasn’t the first lady who fell his victim.

Now that I know that I’m not his only victim, my desire is for justice to reign. Being an inhumane being, he should be punished.

Also, I advise other ladies to beware of men like this.

This act must stop. The silence suffering must be ended. THIS IS MY STORY!
