The travails of Mr Osunnusi Tolani Clement

Ordinarily the choice or adherence to any organisation legal or illegal should be the prerogative of everyone especially adults anywhere in the world.

The Islamic militant group popularly known as Boko Haram has been waging war against other religions in recent months in Nigeria by means of suicide bombers and all sorts of attacks on the Christian communities in Nigeria.

On 26th March 2023, an entire family of Mr Osunnusi Tolani Clement were abducted to an unknown location. At about midnight says an eyewitness, Mr Osunnusi an Islamic convert was abducted along with his entire family, its was an horrific incidence. Although he lost everything he had laboured for in life. Hence, his property was completely destroyed and burnt down described by a man named Mohammed.

It was alleged that Mr Osunnusi and his family blasphemed Islamic religion which its repercussions is a death sentence according to the militant group. Osunnusi’s wife, children were reportedly abused, beaten for many days and their home set ablaze.

Mr Osunnusi’s whereabouts remain unknown. His wife and children are yet to be found.

It was also gathered that Mr Osunnusi and many others were rescued by the Military Task Force against abduction and terrorism but its unclear if he was released or not. It’s absolutely disturbing to the entire public the level of threat to humanity, life and property in Nigeria

The family of Osunnusi has called on the Federal Government to intervene in this situation as it might fuel religious violence in the country.
