The situation is clear – Mourinho speaks on replacing Lampard at Chelsea

Roma manager, Jose Mourinho has reacted to the speculation linking him to the managerial post at Chelsea.

The 55-year-old has coached the Blues across two different spells, winning the Premier League three times.

Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, is currently looking for a new permanent manager having put Frank Lampard in charge until the end of this campaign.

Mourinho is also being linked with Paris Saint-Germain.

But the Portuguese, who won the Europa Conference League trophy last year, insists he is concentrating on winning the Europa League this season.

He also wants to finish as high as possible in the Italian top-flight.

“I don’t talk to friends, comrades, or journalists. If a few months ago our CEO [Pietro] Berardi said he was sure I would stay, that is his interpretation.

“If this time Mr. Zazzaroni [a journalist] said what he said is an interpretation of him, I’m not talking to anyone.

“The situation is clear, from a contractual point of view I still have one year on my contract. Football is football, sometimes contracts aren’t the most important thing. All good, all calm, the next one is always the most important game,” Mourinho told reporters.
