For allegedly breaking into a skill acquisition centre’s office in Lagos, the Police have dragged a teenager, Samuel Abduramon, before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court.
Abduramon, 18, is standing trial on a two-count charge of burglary and stealing.
He was arraigned before the Magistrate, Mr Ademola Adesanya and he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Insp Ekpo Edet, told the court that Abduramon committed the offence on Nov. 19.
He said that following an intent to steal, the defendant at night, burgled a skills acquisition centre’s office located at Shibiri, near Ajangbadi in Ojo.
He alleged that the defendant vandalised a 45KVA Marapscop generator valued N2.5 million and also carted away a pumping machine valued N35,000.
According to the prosecutor, the alleged offences contravene the provision of Sections 287 and 309 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
The magistrate granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum
He adjourned the case till Dec. 21 for mention.
