Tech Africa Unite 2024 equips businesses with tech-based profit methodologies

The third edition of Tech Africa Unite has advocated for more use of technology to increase profitability of businesses.

Tech Africa Unite, TAU, is a conference poised at bringing together tech pioneers and enthusiasts to discuss technology trends while also networking and how they have re-shapened the world at large but with focus on Africa. It also provides an opportunity for business owners to get access the latest Tech solutions that will enhance productivity for their businesses.

The 3rd edition of the initiative held on the 26th-27th of May 2024, and featured sessions with professionals in their respective tech fields who gave keynotes to those in attendance that came for the lecture. The attendees asked a series of questions to get more insight on certain developments in the tech industry.

The Speakers included Head, SME Product of Sterling Bank, Mrs Bolanle Tyson, Marketing and communications expert, Mr Yinka Onigbinde, Manager at CoralPay, Mr Boluwaji Alepaye, Mr Nelson Tosin who is the CEO of Zarttech, Mr Bradley Shaw who is one of the leading commercial and business development professionals in African telecoms, media and technology (TMT),  Mrs Uzoma James who currently serves as the regional manager at Yellow Card.

Exhibitors were also present in their multitude as they also intended to use the opportunity to network with others in the same field and develop a ground for partnership with other brands. Amongst the Exhibitors present were MTN, Coin EX, Afribotics, OneBank, Connect, mysogi, Zoracom, Zedi.

Head of SME products at Sterling Bank with the SME product app Called ‘One Bank,’ Mrs Bolanle Tyson, during her session talked about how Digital banking has made life easier for everyone as it helps curb going to the bank for every transaction as it can be done from the comfort of a phone. She stated that software digital products have come to stay as it is an efficient tool for running businesses.

Questions were asked to this effect by those in attendance, most of them arising from the tendency of being scammed through fake transfers and the likes. It was made clear that banking apps show the actual money left in your account irrespective of flash/fake credit SMS messages. She encouraged people to not be afraid of using digital products but should learn how to use it efficiently.

The Host notably mentioned how the new 5G network is a game changer as it helps solve many challenging issues at a faster speed, she also mentioned how the internet of things has come to play a vital role through prompts and codes that makes work faster and more efficient.
