Team Lagos shines at National Youth Games, wins more medals in swimming

Team Lagos has continued to excel at the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, winning additional medals in swimming and football.

The state’s swimmers, Chioma Kanu and Sokunbi Tobi, won gold medals in the 50m girls’ freestyle and 200m boys’ individual medley events, respectively.

Ezumba Chidelu added a silver medal in the boys’ 200m swimming event.

In football, Team Lagos defeated hosts Delta 2-0, with goals from Kashimawo Temilola and Kemi Adegbuyi. The team is now looking forward to defending their title in the football event.

Additionally, Lagos’ volleyball team beat Bauchi 2-0, and the state’s table tennis players, Aisha Rabiu and Faisat Musbau, claimed gold in the girls’ doubles final.

Team Lagos has had a stellar performance at the National Youth Games, and their medal haul continues to grow.
