As part of the efforts of the present administration in the state of Osun to cater for the needs of all and sundry, physically challenged applicants for the Osun Teacher’s recruitment exercise will get special centres to write their exams.
The measure is geared towards making them have a sense of belonging just like others to write the examinations comfortably.
Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunsho Oladoyin said the above during a meeting with some physically challenged applicants in his office.
The Commissioner who attributed the gesture to the directive of the state Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, affirmed that special consideration would be given to them through the provision of essential materials that will aid the success of their participation in the coming examinations.
While stressing that the state governor is determined to continue to attend to the needs of residents of the state, the former lawmaker in the state parliament assured that the examinations would be conducted in a free and fair manner.
He, however, emphasised that successful candidates will be picked strictly on Merit.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon. Jamiu Olawumi thanked the Special Applicants for their resilient, tenacity of purpose and commitment among others with an assurance that they will not be discriminated upon before, during and after the recruitment exercise.
