TCN inferno: Bagudu assures prompt intervention for restoration of electricity to Kebbi

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu, has assured prompt intervention of Federal Government for the restoration of power to Kebbi.

Bagudu gave the assurance when he visited the scene of the substation of TCN in Birnin Kebbi alongside Kebbi Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Abubakar.

Abubakar, the immediate past Governor of the state also described the incident as devastating which required the collaboration of the eminent sons of the state.

Bagudu said: “I came here to commiserate with the state government on the inferno at this TCN station.

“I am here with the deputy governor and we are ready to collaborate with the state government to ensure electricity supply is restored as quickly as possible.

“I use this opportunity also to commend Gov. Nasir Idris for all his giant strides which we are seeing every day.

“He is doing a good job to ensure Kebbi State continue to prosper.

“I know how passionate the governor is when it comes to the issue on how to ensure we move the state forward.”

According to Bagudu, Idris was the only governor at the recent secreening of the Minister-nominees from morning till evening.

He said, “Our prayer is that, Kebbi State will continue to be united. We should continue to give support to our leaders especially governor Idris so that our dear state will continue to prosper.”

Bagudu also condoled the state over the demise of Sheikh Abubakar Giro.

He said that he was in the Palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Mera and the deceased’s home to condole them over the death of the renowned Islamic scholar.
