Taxes, rates, levies, antidotes for more devt — Abiodun

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reiterated that prompt payment of taxes, rates and levies are lethal antidotes that will initiate further development through the provision of dividends of democracy

Dapo Abiodun who was ably represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, revealed that residents are entitled to dividends of democracy, which could be made possible, if there are regularly payment of all fees.

The Governor of Ogun through his representative at the official installation and presentation of Staff of Office, to the new Obelu of Esure, Oba Kasali  Samodu, in Ijebu East Local Government Area of the State, expressing that the regular payment of dues were civic responsibilities expected of good citizens

He further added that some of the developmental efforts are beginning to manifest across the State.

He enjoined the new Monarch to bring his vision to bear by creating team spirit among his people and support the policies and programmes of the present administration.

In his address, the Chairman, Transition Committee, of the Council area, Hon. Bolanle Falujo, said development and growth of any society are tied to the ability of leaders to organise and empower the people, calling on the new Monarch to use his wealth of experience, as a successful businessman to attract investors to the town.

Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Yinusa   who represented the Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun at the installation ceremony appealed for unity to justify the opportunity given to him by accommodating his subjects in decisions making.

Oba Abdulsamad Kasali in his own acceptance speech appreciated the government for the privilege bestowed on him thereby assuring that his tenure would bring tremendous improvement in the area of infrastructural development and provision of adequate security of lives and property.
