TASUED suspends wanted lecturer, urges him to submit self to ICPC

The management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Ijagun, via Ijebu Ode said that it has suspended Dr Olaniran Balogun, the Head of Religious Studies Department of the institution over allegation of gross abuse of office and demand for gratification.

Dr Olaniran Balogun was said to have recently been declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over these alleged misdemeanors

According to a release from Mr Gbenga Omilola, Deputy Registrar, Media and Corporate Relations of the university, the institution said that Dr Balogun who is currently under investigation for the alleged misdemeanor by the ICPC had since been relieved of his position as the Head of Department, Religious Studies.

The statement disclosed further that, the wanted lecturer had also been placed on interdiction until he clears himself of the various allegations levelled against him by ICPC.

The university has therefore urged Dr Balogun to immediately honour the invitation of the ICPC to clear himself of the allegations against him.

The institution disclosed that it would continue to do all within its powers to protect the good name and image the university has built for itself over the years and would therefore not condone any act of indiscipline and corrupt practices by any of its staff.
